Aussies take charge in India

Mohun Bagan’s Australian stars played a key role in a 3-0 win over Kerala Blasters.

Jamie Maclaren bagged a brace, with one of his goals assisted by Jason Cummings, as the reigning champions continued their strong run in the Indian Super League.

Maclaren has 10 goals and two assists in 20 league appearances this season, with five of his 12 direct goal contributions coming across the last three games.

Dimitri Petratos played 13 minutes off the bench in the victory.

Mohun Bagan sits 10 points clear atop the Indian Super League table. If results go their way, they could be crowned champions next week.

Kuol finds the net in six-goal thriller

Garang Kuol was again on target for Newcastle United’s U21s. But his goal wasn’t enough to prevent a 6-3 loss to Leicester City.

The 19-year-old winger continues to build form and confidence in the Premier League 2, showing his attacking instincts and ability to get on the scoresheet.

Having struggled for consistent minutes on loan at Hearts last season, Kuol appears determined to prove himself at Newcastle, hoping to push for future senior involvement.

Matthews keeps a clean sheet

Hayden Matthews played a full 90 minutes and kept a clean sheet in Portsmouth’s 2-0 victory over Oxford United. The promising centre-half continues to impress as he establishes himself in the side.

Matthews made five clearances and won two tackles and 100% of his ground duels.

After a dream debut goal a few weeks ago, Thomas Waddingham has yet to feature since playing 11 minutes against Millwall on the 29th of January. Once given another opportunity, the young striker will be eager to build on his bright start.
