'Aussie Rodri' leads Hibernian charge

It was a day to remember for our Aussie contingent at Hibernian as they all played pivotal roles in a 3-1 victory over Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership.

Martin Boyle starred, netting another clinical brace to guide his team to victory. Since returning from injury, Boyle has scored five goals and registered two assists across six league appearances. He now has 10 goals this season.

Midfielder Nectarios Triantis added his name to the scoresheet after stealing the ball from Ewan Wilson, driving forward, finishing brilliantly off the post, and being named the Man of the Match.

Triantis has played every minute of Hibernians' last nine league fixtures, with some fans on X labelling him the 'Aussie Rodri' post-game.

Meanwhile, Jack Iredale played the full 90 minutes as a centre-back, putting in a composed and commanding performance. Lewis Miller came off the bench for the final 29 minutes to help see out the win.

Undefeated across the last seven games, Hibernian have climbed to 6th in the Scottish Premiership.

Luongo and Burgess shine in FA Cup win

Massimo Luongo and Cameron Burgess delivered standout performances in Ipswich Town’s dominant 3-0 victory over Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup third round.

Luongo controlled the midfield with his composure and vision, while Burgess was solid in defence, helping secure a clean sheet.

The Aussie duo played the 90 minutes, cementing their importance to a possible cup run for Ipswich.

Wright place, right time

In Singapore, Bailey Wright scored for Lion City Sailors in their 2-0 win over Kuala Lumpur City in the ASEAN Club Championship.

The experienced centre-back headed home the decisive goal from a set-piece, combining his aerial threat with his usual defensive reliability to secure a clean sheet and three crucial points.
