Juric brothers deliver
The Juric brothers were at it again, finding the back of the net as FC Koper edged out Domžale 3-2 in a thrilling encounter in the Slovenian Prva Liga.
Deni Juric continued his strong form in front of goal, scoring twice to give Koper the upper hand. Meanwhile, older brother Tomi Juric stole the headlines with a dramatic 90th-minute winner. The experienced striker was in the right place at the right time to capitalise on a late attacking move, sealing a vital three points for his side.
It was another standout performance from the Australian duo, who have been instrumental in Koper’s push for a top-three finish. Deni, in particular, has been a consistent attacking force this season. Meanwhile, Tomi has provided leadership and key moments in big games.
Koper sits fourth on the Prva Liga table, within striking distance of European qualification spots. If the Juric brothers maintain this form, they could be key in pushing the club towards a return to continental football next season.
Younis' purple patch
Marcus Younis is making the most of his opportunities in the Netherlands, finding the back of the net for Jong PSV in their 2-1 loss to Roda JC in the Eerste Divisie.
The 19-year-old Australian attacker played 61 minutes and grabbed his second goal of the season, adding to his three assists in PSV colours. Midweek, Younis was also on the scoresheet against TOP Oss in a 2-2 draw. He also assisted Jong PSV's second goal.
In the Eredivisie, Max Balard completed the full 90 minutes for NAC Breda in their draw with Sparta Rotterdam. Meanwhile, Cameron Peupion featured for 85 minutes in ADO Den Haag's crucial 1-0 away win over FC Emmen in the Dutch second tier before playing another 45 minutes in a 3-0 loss to Jong AZ.
Toure off the mark in 2025
Mohamed Toure opened his 2025 account in style, scoring twice for Randers FC in a thrilling 4-2 win over Danish giants Brøndby IF in the Superliga.
The 20-year-old forward started and played 79 minutes, netting Randers' first and third goals to help secure a vital three points.
It was a breakout performance for Toure, who has been pushing for more minutes this season, and his brace will only strengthen his case for a starting role moving forward.
Australian goalkeeper Paul Izzo also played the entire match, producing a solid display as Randers moved to fourth place on the Superliga table.
Big wins in Croatia
Fran Karacic remains a rock at the back for NK Lokomotiva, playing 90 minutes in their dominant 3-0 win over Osijek in the Croatian top flight.
The Socceroos right-back has played his part in five clean sheets this season, with Lokomotiva climbing to sixth on the HNL ladder. Karacic has been ever-present for the club, only missing one match due to suspension.
Meanwhile, in the title race, Anthony Kalik played 57 minutes for Hajduk Split in a 2-1 win over HNK Gorica, sending them to the top of the table with a one-point lead over Rijeka.
Ryan stuns Marseille at the Vélodrome
Mat Ryan delivered another clutch performance for RC Lens, keeping a clean sheet in their dramatic 1-0 away win over Olympique de Marseille in Ligue 1.
The Socceroos captain played a crucial role in breaking Lens' four-match losing streak, earning his third clean sheet since joining the French club.
The win moves Lens up to eighth on the Ligue 1 ladder.
Irvine provides key assist
Jackson Irvine played a crucial role for St. Pauli, assisting their only goal in a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Wolfsburg.
The Socceroos midfielder was again at the heart of the action as his side picked up a valuable point, keeping them just two points clear of the relegation play-off place in the Bundesliga.
